My 22 Minute Hard Corps Results and Where To Get It!

I'm so excited to write this blog post. I am so excited for you to see my results from 22 Minute Hard Corps and to tell you a little bit about my experience! And also... read down to the end for a special invitation from me to you!!!

Let's dive right in because I know you're excited! If you're new here, I was asked to participate in the corporate test group for the newest home workout program from Beachbody and celebrity trainer Tony Horton (of P90X fame! I know you've got a bootleg copy somewhere on your computer!)

22 Minute Hard Corps (which I affectionately call 22MHC) is an 8 week long program, the workouts are bootcamp style and only 22 minutes long! (Hallelujah!) It's inspired by bootcamp training and conditioning used in the military, in fact, real veterans are in the workouts! I was skeptical when I first started about how my experience would be, if I'd get good results, if I'd like the workouts or if they'd be too hard for me, etc.... and after 8 weeks I can tell you that I am IN LOVE! This is now my FAVORITE program out of all the programs Beachbody has! And my results... well... I'll let you see for yourself...

I lost 8 pounds and TWENTY INCHES from all over in the 8 weeks I committed in the test group!!! Never have I felt so strong, confident, athletic, lean, energized and excited. This program got me results like no other! I lost 4 inches in each THIGH! My problem area!!!! I built muscle, was able to eat more than I have ever been able to and still got results that I am so pumped about... all doing the shortest workouts I've ever done!

When I started, I felt a bit bored with my fitness routine, and this program revitalized me. I was EXCITED to do my workouts each day. I looked forward to challenging myself to have better form, do less modifications, etc each week! I loved the bootcamp style to the workouts and the cadence. It's fast paced but not so fast that you can't keep up. It's challenging but not too much that you feel like it's impossible. It is the best balance and I love it so much I'll be doing a 2nd round of this program asap!

Let me tell you some specifics about it! 

How Long Are The Workouts? 22 minutes! (The additional core workouts are shorter)
How Many Workouts Come in the Program? 8
Who is This Program For? Anyone who is short on time and wants epic results!
What Kind of Workouts Are They? Bootcamp style, total body dynamic movements.
Is There a Modifier? Yes. I'd consider this an intermediate program but there is a modifier.
How Much Space Do I Need? Beachbody says around 6 square feet. I did it in my living room.
What Equipment Do I Need? A chin up bar, a set of light and heavy weights or the sandbag.
Anything Else I Need? Cross trainer style shoes if you want and a jump mat or workout mat is nice.
What's The Nutrition Plan? It's a portion controlled plan similar to the 21 Day Fix. Super simple!
Do I Need Shakeology? My results are from doing this program WITH Shakeology. So yes!
Should I Try The Performance Line? YES! I used it and it helped me soooo much!
Is This For Men or Women? BOTH! It appeals so well to both! It's not girly or too manly.
Can I Do The Plan Paleo/Vegan/Gluten Free? YES! It's super easily to adjust for your needs.
Is There a Rest Day? Yes. You workout 6 days then take 1 rest day each week.
What Is "Hell Week": An optional 9th week you can do to challenge yourself at the end!
Is The Performance Line Part of the Meal Plan: The performance line products count as "free foods" meaning you don't use up any of your portions with them! An extra perk to why they are so awesome! HAHA!

My personal experience with this program was TRANSFORMATIONAL! I felt challenged but in a good way. It helped me to realize that food was something that shouldn't be a stress. In fact, I actually ate more on this program than I ever have. I bumped UP A BRACKET in the nutrition plan because my body needed more energy! And when I did, I started seeing results even faster! So don't be afraid! I used the Performance Line (everything except the Creatine) and it helped me so much to give my all in every workout and bounce back quicker with sore muscles! I strongly suggest you try it! As you can see from the collage of photos from my journey I definitely ate well and saw some crazy calorie burns! This program is no joke!

And my fellow test group participants had amazing results as well! Here's a few of them for you to see! Everyone got stronger, had more energy, saw new muscle definition, and felt like this program made them excited about fitness again!

Wellness Wednesday | Himalayan Salt Rock Lamps

Have you seen these pretty little votives and lamps around? You might see one in an interior pinned on Pinterest or even on the shelf at your local health foods store. That's where I had seen them. And they looked so warm and glowy and crystalline that I was intrigued. I bought my first Himalayan Salt Rock at the grocery store. It's small enough to hold a single vote candle. And it looks beautiful when the lights are dim and it's glowing a flickering orange. I was smitten.

So I went online to see if I could find more in other sizes and I was surprised to find a plethora of salt rock pieces from candle holders to huge lamps in all different shapes! Little did I know that Himalayan Salt Rock lamps are totally a thing. Did you know that? You probably did. I'm always the last to know. Apparently they have some supposed health benefits above just being relaxing and pretty to look at...

Salt has long been a mineral recognized for it's various benefits. Salt mines and salt springs are often used for rejuvenation and relaxation. Why? Because it is believed that salt mines and salt springs have a negative ion environment.

Say what?

So have you ever breathed in deep by a waterfall? Or felt like singing in the shower? Or sat and marveled in calm bliss by the seashore? You probably have. But what you might not realize is why these areas have such an effect on you. These forces of nature (and shower) create negative ions in the air. Why does that matter? It's natures way of cleansing! So negative and positive ions exist all in the air around you all the time. Negative ions are generally a molecule of oxygen that has gained an electron (stay with me!) These ions attract particles in the air and give them a negative charge forcing them to seek an electrical "ground" which usually means falling out of the air and to the ground. So, in essence, negative ions clean the air. That is why when you walk outside after a rainstorm the air feels so fresh!

How are negative ions produced? 
➳ Ions cannot be produced without an energy source like...
➳ Heat/flames
➳ Electricity
➳ Evaporation
➳ Friction
➳ Radioactivity

Okay, so how do these salt rocks actually help clean the air in your house?

How do Himilayan salt rock lamps work? 
➳ The salt crystals cannot create negative ions, you need energy for that. BUT....
➳ Salt attracts water molecules in the air...
➳ When the water comes to the salt, the heat of the candle inside or the bulb warms it up...
➳ The water molecules heat up and begin to evaporate
➳ Evaporation produces negative ions in the air! Ba-zing!

How To Get Amazing Results With the 21 Day Fix

Did you know that the 21 Day Fix was the #3 most googled fitness terms in 2015? I'm not surprised. Because everyone I know wants to ask me about it. It's my most popular program to help people get started with and I myself had an incredible experience doing this program (and then following it up with it's graduate program, the 21 Day Fix Extreme!)

When I first heard about the 21 Day Fix, I was skeptical. A 21 day workout program? What kind of results could I expect in just 21 days? What are these colored tupper-ware-looking containers? How would I use them? Would it be confusing? Would 30 minute workouts be enough? So many questions!

I've done the 21 Day Fix programs, and I've coaches hundreds of people on them as well! I've seen people rock it and others not so much. And I've noticed that there are a few simple things that can help you go from womp womp to WOWZA with your results!

So today, for #TuesdayTips, I wanted to share with you my Top 7 Tips for Getting Your Best Results with the 21 Day Fix!

1.  READ UP!: When you get your kit, open it all up and read through everything! You'll need to do a quick bit of math to figure out what mealplan bracket you will be in for the next 21 days. Read through the entire nutrition guide so you understand how to use the containers. (This is where tip #1 comes in handy because in a challenge group you can ask questions if you get stuck or confused!) In the beginning it may seem overwhelming trying to remember what foods go with what containers but I promise you'll start to feel super comfortable with it after the first few days! Just don't wait until the morning of day 1 to start reading or you'll be hangry and frustrated trying to figure out what to eat!

2. GET ORGANIZED: Clean out your pantry. Go grocery shopping. Do some food/meal prep to have healthy snacks ready to go. Mark your 21st day on your calendar so you have your goal in sight. Schedule your workout in your calendar each day!

3. GIVE SHAKEOLOGY A GO: It will be your secret weapon for the next 21 days! There is nothing tougher than trying to stick to a meal plan while you are craving coffee, sugar, and junk food like crazy! Any time you make a change in your routine your body has to adjust and if you go from eating a standard Amerian diet to eating a super clean and portion controlled 21 Day Fix plan you will likely be dealing with some sugar and caffeine cravings. Here is where Shakeology shines! Not only is it full of 70 whole food fruit and veggies and superfood ingredients but they work in your body to help you feel full, satiated, and to combat those killer cravings that can derail you when you start a new program! My challengers that commit fully to Shakeology and the 21 Day Fix get much better results than when I have customers try to do the 21 Day Fix just on it's own!

4. DON'T CHEAT: It's just 21 days. So no cheating and no skipping workouts! These workouts are only 30 minutes long. And your meal plan is based on you completing them so to get the right results you need to be sticking with it 100%. When you start to cheat a little here and there you sabotage your results and mess up the math of the program! So suck it up for three weeks. You invested in the program and in yourself so make yourself proud!

5. TAKE BEFORE STATS AND PHOTOS: I know, the last thing you want to do when you are not feeling your best is take "before" photos but trust me... you will see changes in these photos that the scale can NEVER tell you about and they are soooooo exciting! So don't just step on a scale and have that be it. Take your weight, your measurements, and snap a few before photos. My challengers have seen visible differences not only in their overall size but also in their skin, posture, muscle tone, and body composition!

6. DON'T STEP ON THE SCALE TILL DAY 21: I have watched countless women sabotage all their results because they got on the scale every stinking morning and let the number dictate how they felt about themselves all day. You are not going to drop 10 pounds by day 2. So just tuck your scale away and don't get on it till the end. It's more exciting that way anyway. So many factors go into your weight and when you start a new program your body needs time to adjust. You might retain water, your muscles might be sore, you might need a day or two to get regular... and nothing is worse that feeling derailed by the scale before you've even given yourself a real chance for success.

7. GET IN A CHALLENGE GROUP: A challenge group is an exclusive and private accountability group you can only gain access to through a Team Beachbody coach like myself.
