PERSONAL // A Letter To 2013 Self...

Dear 2013 Becka,

I see you. I do. I know you think that no one does. I see your hurt and your constant struggle to re-gain some sort of recognizable parts of yourself. To grab onto some bit of confidence. I see you grasp at anything hoping this will help you out of your hole and I watch the ropes snap off in your hands leaving you without hope for any escape. I know how frustrated you are. I know how you feel like you're just treading water all day every day. I see the way you carry on. I see your exhaustion battling a disease you barely understand causing damage you don't realize you are causing. I see your struggle.

I know you are doubtful. I know you think that your future is set. I know you poured your blood, sweat, and tears into photography and you wonder how long you can keep up the pace. I know you secretly long to have weekends to spend with family and friends as your son gets bigger. I know you hate living booking to booking, wondering if you'll have enough money for the holidays. Having to miss out on birthdays and farewell parties to take extra bookings to pay the bills. But I'm here to tell you that INCREDIBLE things are on your horizon. Hold on just 1 more month! Because next month you are going to be presented with something that will change the trajectory of your future. And be brave Becka, because you're going to have to scrounge up all those last embers of faith you might have to decide to give this new lifestyle and opportunity your all in the midst of lots of naysayers.

When it comes, you are going to have to make a decision. A decision to try ONE LAST TIME or to let it pass you by. Decide to try! Find a way to make it work. Don't hide from the work. And show up every day with the best effort you can. Don't worry about those squat jumps, you'll get better. And stronger. And don't rush it. You'll slip up here and there but you're going to build an incredible community that will hold you up when you start to fall. You might not believe this but you're going to have an entire squad by your side and working alongside you! It's going to change you in all the best ways! Get ready old friend, your world is about to completely transform! Hold onto hope. I'll see you on the other side!

FITNESS // Become A Wellness Ambassador With Me!

Hey! I’m Becka! Happy 4th of July! Let's talk about FREEDOM! Maybe you found my page or blog because of my Hashimotos struggle or 70 pound weight loss or maybe you found me because of our RV renovation and road trip... either way, I want to tell you a little bit more about what I do and why I'm so passionate about it!

We are part of a MOVEMENT! A movement of men and women who want to make more out of their lives, break FREE from traditional jobs and limitations and help others do the same! We are COACHES and I want you to join us!

My team of coaches are each entrepreneurs and their own bosses! They make their own hours and they chase their own goals! We all partner with the incredible company of Beachbody and we help our challengers GET RESULTS! We lead by example working on our own health and fitness goals and inspiring others to do the same! That is what this business is all about! Getting paid to get healthy and help others do the same! As your mentor, I get to personally show you how I’ve created a solid 6 figure business in 2 years time and pass on my tools to you! At first, this business was my side-hustle. Then later on it became my main hustle. But all along it was always what made my life BETTER not what took over it! My family has always been my top priority! And yours can be too.

FITNESS | My P90X Week 2 Progress!


I can't believe week 2 is already over! Week 1 seemed long. This week seemed like it flew by! I actually still have to do my workout for today to be officially done with week 2 but I wanted to go ahead and share my update before it got too late! I have some exciting news from week 2!

First of all, I can't believe I finished 2 weeks of the original P90X! I truly never thought I'd be able to do P90X at all, let alone be completing every workout! I feel so strong. And while it's my natural inclination to get frustrated by slow progress I find myself enjoying this process more than I have programs in the past!


I've only ever done short workout programs from Beachbody. I've done T25, P90X3, 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme, Insanity Max 30, Piyo, and 22 Minute Hard Corps. What do all those programs have in common? They are all workouts that are about a half hour long. That's my sweet spot. I've never enjoyed working out enough to consider a longer program and I've always told myself that I am just not someone who can do long workouts. What BS! Why do we limit ourselves the way we do? I'm actually really enjoying these longer workouts and to be completely honest, I dread them less than I have some of the shorter ones I've done in the past!

Why? Because they are slower paced since the trainers aren't trying to maximize the time! So where in 22 Minute Hard Corps I'd be panting for breath and my heart would be beating out of my chest, this program I feel challenged but never completely burned out. It's a nice change of pace!

My nutrition was on point all week except for a few extra carbs. I'm trying to really dial it in and up my veggies and healthy fats and decrease my sugar and carbs. The struggle is real. Thankfully my daily smoothie helps me feel treated. I've been making my shakeology into thick Acai Smoothie Bowls full of spinach, kale, fruit, and some healthy fats like almonds and making it my lunch instead of just having a smoothie as a snack. So far I'm loving that treat in the middle of each day!


The most exciting thing that happened this week was that I started to visibly see progress that I've NEVER seen before: arm definition! I had to take a picture for proof because I was so excited! I've never seen progress in my arm definition so this was a big moment for me. I hope to continue to carve them out over the next 10 weeks!

On top of that I started to notice that my thighs looked leaner. I decided to break out the measuring tape to see if it was all in my head and I was shocked that my thighs are down almost an inch each! I also lost an inch in my midsection although I don't feel like I see much progress there yet. My arms are about the same measurements as before but visibly I can see them getting more defined which is exciting. My upper arms have always been a problem area for me so I'd love to get them looking really strong so I feel confident in tank tops. And I did notice today that my jeans that are usually pretty tight and pinch into my sides fit like a dream so I guess my tummy and hips are narrowing out even if I can't visibly tell yet! All exciting things! I haven't stepped on a scale because I don't really care how much I weigh, I'm more interested in how I look and feel this time around.
